If you are requesting transcripts for coursework completed after 1986, you may submit your request either electronically, by using the login to your student account, or you may submit your request by mail or fax.

Students requesting transcripts with all coursework prior to 1986 may submit a Transcript Request Form or provide as much of the following information as possible in a written letter (missing information may delay the processing of your request):

  • Full name - as it is now and as it was when you were enrolled at OCU, if different
  • Student ID number and/or social security number
  • Date of birth
  • Current address and phone number
  • Full address(es) where transcript(s) are to be sent
  • Dates of attendance
  • Year of graduation and degree (if applicable)
  • Student signature (Federal Educational Rights and Privacy Act requirement)

We do not charge for individual transcripts, however, there will be a limit of five transcripts per day issued to a student. An exception may be made when the student provides individual addresses for transcripts to be sent directly to other institutions. If a student requests more than twenty transcripts per month to be sent to a person and/or institution, there will be a $6.00 charge for each additional transcript. Any special handling, such as a U.P.S. charge, will have to be prepaid.

Transcripts are not processed if the student has an outstanding financial obligation. Students should call Student Account Services at (405) 208-5146 or go to the Student Account Services window, 3rd floor, Clara E. Jones Administration Building, to check on their financial status.

You may fax your request to (405) 208-6047. Please be sure to sign your faxed request and call the office at (405) 208-5298 to verify that the fax was received. We do not fax or e-mail transcripts.

Students are required to show photo identification when picking up their transcript. If a transcript is to be released to a third party, written authorization from the student is required. Parents may obtain their student's transcript with written authorization signed by the student or a with a signed affidavit stating that the student is their financial dependent according to IRS regulations.

Electronic Transcripts
Oklahoma City University, in partnership with SCRIP-SAFE International, is now able to deliver official transcripts electronically through eSCRIP-SAFE to network recipients or outside the network to third parties. Please read the following before completing your transcript request:

  • Network Delivery
    Before completing your transcript request, please check the network recipients (the list is updated each Monday) to see if your intended receiver is a member of the electronic network. If the recipient is in the network, please insert their name on your order form and check electronic network recipient.
  • OneTime Delivery
    If your intended recipient is not a network member, and you wish to deliver your transcript electronically, this method may be used. Receivers are designated and identified by you, the requestor, through the recipient’s email address.

You should always notify your intended recipient they will be receiving important email messages regarding the electronic delivery of your transcript. To ensure delivery of these important email messages, please inform the recipient to add the domain name of to their safe-sender email list.

OneTime receivers must complete a simple registration for each transcript delivered through eSCRIP-SAFE. In addition, they must have a copy of Adobe Reader 7.0, or higher, which is free and easy to download, on their computer. The receiver has three options to retain the transcript:
  1. Save the file to the institution's document imaging system
  2. Save the file eletronically as a PDF document
  3. Print to paper

Your transcript is never delivered by email—email is limited to notification and reminder messages regarding the delivery of your transcript. To use this method, include your recipient’s name and email address on the order form and check “email via eSCRIP-SAFE."

Official Transcripts From Other Institutions
Oklahoma City University requires all students to submit official transcripts, such as high school transcripts, undergraduate transcripts with or without a degree, or graduate transcripts. These transcripts must be official. Official transcripts are defined as transcripts sent directly from one institution to Oklahoma City University. Electronic transcripts will be accepted from schools using approved secured transmission systems. The current list of approved systems are as follows:

Any transcript marked “Issued to Student” and/or hand-carried transcripts are not considered official and will not be accepted for transfer purposes.

Transfer Equivalency

The outlined courses are currently being accepted as transfer credit from the institutions listed. If you have credits from an institution that is not included or for courses not listed, you should contact your advisor and/or admissions counselor to determine potential equivalencies. Courses may be added or removed at the discretion of University officials.

Apply for Graduation

To apply for graduation you will need to pick up your Application for Graduation from the Registrar's Office. You then need to make an appointment to meet with your advisor so that a final degree check can be processed. After completing the final degree check your advisor will sign your application for graduation. Return the application for graduation to the Registrar's Office. It takes approximately six to eight weeks for a diploma order to be processed and returned to the Registrar's Office from the Herff Jones Company, Iola, Kan. Deadlines for applying for graduation are published in the Academic Calendar.

Students who are unable to come on campus:
The forms below are for students who have completed or will complete their academic programs during the current semester, who are unable to come on-campus and need to apply for graduation.

  • Click on the appropriate form: Undergraduate Application for undergrad programs (BA, BS, BSB, etc.) or Graduate Application for graduate programs (MBA, MA, MS, MM, etc.)
  • Print the form.
  • Complete the form and have your advisor sign it. It will not be accepted without your advisor's signature. You may want to consult with your advisor before proceeding.
  • Bring or send the form to the Registrar's Office (OCU, Registrar's Office, 2501 N. Blackwelder, Oklahoma City, OK 73106).

GradStar, also knows as DegreeWorks, is a Web-based tool to help students and advisors monitor the student’s academic progress toward degree completion. GradStar looks at the degree requirements in OCU’s catalog and the coursework completed to produce an easy-to-read audit. The audit is divided into block requirements that indicate how completed or proposed courses count toward degree requirements. Checkboxes exist within each block to easily outline the courses and requirements that are complete. GradStar also allows students and their advisors to plan for future coursework.
