The May 2016 graduate and undergraduate ceremonies will be the only commencements held for the 2015-16 academic year. December 2015, May 2016, and August 2016 graduates are all encouraged to participate on this date. If your degree requirements will not be complete by the summer conferral date of July 29, but you would like to participate in the May 7 ceremony, please contact Academic Affairs (405) 208-5287.
The deadline date to apply for your diploma and graduation is February 26, 2016.
Seating for those who are unable to climb stairs is available on a first-come, first-served basis. The Freede Wellness Center is wheelchair accessible. A sign language interpreter is on stage at the ceremony. If you have guests with other special needs, please contact Academic Affairs at (405) 208-5287.
Tickets are not required for the ceremonies, however, seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
The Henry J. Freede Wellness and Activity Center (map) will open at 9:45 a.m. for the morning ceremony and at 1:45 p.m. for the afternoon ceremony.
We request that all guests be in their seats no later than fifteen minutes before the ceremony is scheduled to begin.
The Senior Sendoff Dinner on Thursday, May 5th, will welcome you to the OCU Alumni Association. Dinner will be served from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Great Hall in the Tom and Brenda McDaniel University Center. Seniors may each bring one guest for dinner at no charge.
