The Bass School of Music has many chamber ensembles comprised of both graduate and undergraduate students. Students regularly participate in brass, woodwind, percussion, string, and mixed chamber ensembles both in the School of Music as well perform, gig, and compete around OKC. Common ensembles include saxophone quartet, string quartet, brass trio and quintet, woodwind trio and quintet, percussion ensembles, and more!
The Bass School of Music is proud to host three graduate assistantship ensembles in residence:
- Blackwelder Brass
- Riegel String Quartet
- Graduate Woodwind Quintet
All graduate assistantship ensembles include a tuition waiver and stipend, as well as regular intensive coaching with OCU faculty. Graduate chamber ensembles are regularly called upon for professional engagements for OCU as well as throughout the OKC metropolitan area.
