Top 10 spots that will make you fall in love with OCU

["

If you've never been to our campus (or have but it's been too long), you might be missing out on its most appealing locations. Here's a non-comprehensive list of some of the university community's favorite spots:

1. Kerr-McGee Centennial Plaza

"Kerr-McGee

Perhaps the first location to be seen by visitors, the plaza at 23rd and Blackwelder features statues of the three crowned Miss Americas affiliated with the university, Jane Jayroe, Susan Powell, and Shawntel Smith. Famous alumni, including opera star Leona Mitchell and Tony award-winning actress Kristin Chenoweth, are acknowledged with stars embedded in the floor of the plaza (Hollywood Walk of Fame-style).

2. Gold Star Building

Construction began in 1949 on this historic building, which memorializes Americans who lost their lives in World War II. The star that rests at its top symbolizes the hope that the stars bring us and can be seen as far as 10 miles away. The building reaches 286 feet and serves as a reminder of home for the university community.

3. Meinders School of Business

Located on the northeast side of campus, the Meinders School of Business opened in 2003 and is one of the largest capital investments in the history of Oklahoma City University at $18 million.

4. Jim Wade Stadium
