Wind Philharmonic
The Wind Philharmonic is dedicated to the highest standards of performance of music from the wind band repertoire. The ensemble has performed six times as honor ensemble at the Oklahoma Music Educators Association convention and been featured at the College Band Directors National Association regional convention. Under the direction of Dr. Matthew Mailman for the past 21 seasons, the Wind Philharmonic presents eight performances annually, including an annual alumni band concert and a children’s concert series. The group has worked with composers including Michael Daugherty, Karel Husa, Frank Ticheli, Edward Knight, Martin Mailman, Ron Nelson, Roger Cichy, Jerod Impichchaachaaha' Tate and Joseph Schwantner.
